Friend of mine posted this over on Facebook today. Thought it was worth sharing. I’m no bones honest about being a commercial artist, so I doing what my client wants is part of my daily routine. But there is room within doing what they want to do your thing, that’s why they hired you. [...] Worked on deadline this week. Editor was out of town so I had to star even before I got approval for the drawing. Unfortunately that meant changes. So the cartoon became an exercise in how to save a days worth of work. But I’ve got a few days to work out the ship name and decide if I’m throwing in Rocky. Transport Topics Cartoon inks Transport Topics Cartoon Next week’s cartoon for Transport Topics. Knocked out a couple sketches this morning. I like the quality of them and think these two toons will look pretty good. No easter eggs in them yet. Later if I have time. My Pals I:Scinitlla have just released a new EP Prey on You. While I missed them on the recent Electronic Saviors Benefit Concert I did catch them last year and they are amazing live. I was a little surprised to find him mentioned in Smithsonian magazine for the part he played. Walter Farmer was a Monument Man. One of 350 US solders tasked with taking care of art both stolen and legitimately [...] Well I completely forgot to post the finished piece for this. If you scroll down you can see the inks. I added antennas to all the cars in Photoshop, but I’m not certain it makes them look like bugs. However cropping tighter gave it a more crowded feel, which is nice. I color all [...] |
